Raspberries has been a cherished plant for hundreds of years
with its bright red and delicious berries loaded with antioxidants. But did you
know the leaves are as equally important? Native to many parts of Europe, North
America, and western Asia, red raspberry (Rubus Idaeus) is a member of the Rose
family. Raspberry leaf tea produces a smooth and mild flavor similar to black
tea, but without the caffeine! It has been a woman's best friend for thousands
of years, used for *daily cycle support, *menstrual cramps and during *pregnancy
to help prepare the womb for childbirth; Raspberry leaves contain flavonoids
that have antispasmodic and tonic properties hence why it’s so great to tone the
womb.
To make raspberry leaf tea, pour 1 cup (240 ml) of boiling
water over 1 or 2 teaspoons (3-5 grams) of dried leaf. Cover and allow to steep
for 10 minutes or so, then sweeten to taste if you'd like. Drink warm. Store in a cool dry place, at room temperature, out of direct sunlight.
